New Year’s Eve

Dine with us…. Spend this new year in some great company enjoying some fantastic food.  Well, we can’t promise the company (that’s up to you!) but we can definitely promise the fantastic food!

It will be a lovely evening with a relaxed and friendly dining atmosphere, great service, a complimentary glass of bubbles on your arrival and 7 delicious courses of fine food.  The table is yours for the evening and the live music will be on for you to join once you have finished your meal if you wish.

Canapés

Confit duck leg & foie gras fritters with spiced plum compôte
Salt cod brandade with a black garlic & lemon aioli,
Salmon rillette on croute topped with Ikura caviar (gfo)
Heritage tomato & basil bruschetta finished with balsamic glaze (gfo)

Starters

Creamy wild mushroom & cauliflower soup topped with truffle oil (v, gfo)
Pan seared scallops, creamed celeriac, spiced confit Spanish sausage, chorizo jam and a pickled fennel salad (gf)
Cullen skink – smoked haddock scotch egg with a leek and potato velouté & charred baby leeks
Roasted breast & confit leg of partridge on creamed Brussel sprouts, bacon & chestnuts, mulled cider poached pear finished with a black cherry jus (gf)
Twice baked goats’ cheese soufflé with pickled celery and treacle glazed crushed chestnuts on wilted spinach & rocket with pomegranate & balsamic salsa (v)

Mains

Roasted loin of venison (served pink), sticky braised haunch of venison bon bon, buttered kale, beef dripping Pont Neuf potatoes, roasted beetroot puree finished with a juniper spiced jus (gfo)
Duo of Welsh lamb – roasted rack (served pink) & crispy breast, Boulangère potato, petits pois ala française, sweet potato puree & port jus (gfo)
Pan roasted loin of halibut, confit new potatoes, buttered spinach, crispy panko breaded Conwy mussels and a white wine, brown shrimp & saffron velouté (gfo)
Oven roasted guinea fowl galantine stuffed with Perl Las cheese with buttered leeks, sweet potato & celeriac dauphinoise, apple puree, haggis beignet and calvados sauce
Butter poached turbot on a squid ink, crab & orzo risotto with buttered crayfish tails and baby vegetables
Wild mushroom, spinach & cream cheese with homemade tagliatelle pasta, roasted butternut squash, vegetarian parmesan crisps finished with a sun blushed tomato pesto (v)

Desserts

Raspberry & champagne trifle topped with toasted almonds
White chocolate & coffee tart, caramelized white chocolate granola, blackberry compote and crème Chantilly (v)
Passion fruit crème brulée served with marzipan shortbread & mini passion fruit pornstar martini (v, gfo)
Warm rum & raisin sponge, crunchy honeycomb, orange marmalade & pistachio parfait (v)
A selection of Welsh cheese and biscuits served with spiced winter chutney, celery & savory tomato palmiers (v)

Tables MUST be booked in advance for New Years Eve.  Please call 01492 593 535 or email info@erskinearms.co.uk to reserve your table (online bookings are not available for new year’s eve).

A pre-order is also required for new year.  Download a copy of our pre order form HERE.  Please return the pre-order form to info@erskinearms.co.uk or pop it into the pub by Friday 20th December.
